NEW from the Beginning of December 2015: the Skischaukel Salzburg-Tyrol Ski Network
A new mountain railway starts running in December 2015 under the title "TirolS – Two states. One train" because it connects not only two ski areas but also the states of Tyrol and Salzburg! The construction of this railway will increase the amount of accessible slopes by 20%. The future Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn* ski resort, with a total of 240km of slopes and 68 lifts of various types, will be one of the world’s largest ski resorts.
The mountain station of the TirolS-Bahn railway, the connection point of the new ski network, is located directly above the Gartenhotel Theresia and the Hotel Johann – next to the "Sunliner" mountain station (please see the panoramic aerial image).
Guests can also grab their skates and head to the local ice skating rink, enjoy a relaxing horse-drawn carriage ride through the snowy wintry landscape and toboggan during the day or after dark thanks to 3 illuminated tobogganing hills.
In addition to its one-of-a-kind ski resort, Saalbach-Hinterglemm also boasts:
